Bruce Logan is an Albertan who obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (1966) and a Bachelor of Law Degree (1974). He practiced as an engineer from 1968-1989 and has been a member of the the law society of Alberta since 1975. His preferred areas of practice are tax appeals and commercial and small business law. He also conducts construction and real property litigation. He was also an Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces Naval Reserve from 1962 to 1992.

From 1980 to 1985, Commanding Officer of H.M.C.S. Nonsuch, the Naval Reserve Division at Edmonton. He served as an Honorary Aide de Camp to the Governor General of Canada

From 1989 to 1992, Commander, Maritime Coastal Defense Sub-district, Prince Rupert, were he was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration with clasp.
